Mecanum wheels are special omnidirectional wheels for making advanced robots with precise, multi-directional movements!
These 80mm wheels allow you to move your robot forwards, backwards, sideways, turn, spin and travel diagonally. The small rollers on each wheel hub allow your robotics project to achieve multi-directional movement, simply by controlling the rotation speed and direction of each wheel.
The wheels work well on a range of surfaces and require no separate steering setup. Tony Goodhew wrote a great tutorial on using a robot with mecanum wheels, with some MicroPython example code for the Pico.
We also stock 60mm and 48mm versions.
Pack contains two 80mm wheels (Left and Right) and a pair of plastic hubs suitable for TT motors.
